Your Questions, Answered

Is it safe to get a facial during cancer treatment?

Yes, when performed by a trained oncology esthetician. All treatments are adapted for sensitivity, compromised skin barriers, and your current treatment plan.

What should I expect during a session?

Your treatment will focus on gentle, soothing techniques tailored to your skin’s needs. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, comforted, and supported.

Can I use my regular skincare products?

Some products may not be safe during treatment. I provide guidance on safe, gentle products to use at home.

How often should I schedule treatments?

This depends on your needs, treatment schedule, and skin response. We will create a plan that works for you.

Is this only for people currently undergoing treatment?

No! Oncology esthetics benefits both those actively in treatment and survivors who want to restore and maintain their skin health safely.

Can I wear my wig to the appointment?

Yes, I have a wig stand in my studio in order to keep your wig safe and clean during your appointment. Typically, it is not worn during the treatment service, but it is totally up to you and your comfort level if you would like to remove it for the service.

I am immunocompromised. How can I stay safe during my appointment?

I will always use fresh bed sheets and towels, dornknobs and commonly-touched areas of the studio and building will be sanitized right before your appointment, and the bathroom will be cleaned. If you need to make an appointment at a time where no one else will be present in the building, we can discuss our options.

Will I have to lay down for a full hour?

Not at all. Your comfort is the top priority. Sessions are flexible and may last anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs. You may choose to remain seated or lie down during the treatment, and I will adjust the service to ensure you feel at ease throughout.
